U.S. Military Humvee’s attracted a lot of publicity in all present theaters of war where U.S. is involved. It posed a problem for local resistance groups and naturaly they began working on a way to distroy or disable vehicles of this type. One of the latest and most effective ways of handling an Humvee is a I.E.D or Improvised Explosive Device that pulled the challenge for U.S. Deffence industry up one noch. Today’s Humvee’s are equipped with bulletproof plates and soon with Honeycomb Tires. These tires are bulletproof and I.E.D proof to some extent. This doesn’t mean that the G.I’s in the humvee are safe and sound during a gunfight, but it does mean that they have more time to react and pull out of DZ as soon as possible. After studying every Run While Flat tire on the market, and tires ripped to shreds in theater, Resilient went to mother nature for the answer and came up with a six-sided cell pattern honeycomb design that can best Emulate the “ride feel” of pneumatic tires, while allowing shrapnel to simply pass through the open spaces. What you end up with is a tire that is not only more robust and durable, but also runs quieter and cooler than current models. And Resilient is confident they can bring the tire, expected to be added to the Humvee design in 2011, to the Army for the same or even less a cost as current tires.

On instructables we found a guide that tell’s us how to create a plumbers’-crack detector using a LilyPad Arduino controller, a vibrating motor and a photoresistor that will measure how much light is beaming into your butt crack. When the photoresistor comes uncovered, the motor starts to vibrate, letting you know that you’re exposed and people behind you may be looking and/or laughing.

Women usualy have a stash somewhere around where they keep their jewlery and valuables. These need to be cleaned from a time to time. Hammacher has a device that not only does that, but helps keep your eyeglasses spic and span as well with the Ultrasonic Eyeglasses Cleaner.
“This is the eyeglasses cleaner that uses 42,000 Hz of ultrasonic sound waves to remove dirt and dust particles without manual scrubbing or harsh chemicals. Its wide 25-oz. stainless-steel tank (for proper sound wave impedance) holds two pair of eyeglasses and completely detaches from the unit for easy filling under a sink using plain tap water. Three power cycles and five timed settings (from 90 seconds to six minutes) provide controlled cleaning for even the most delicate or soiled items. The cleaner’s whisper-quiet, solid-state circuitry prevents noise, and the unit is suitable for precious metals and gems, waterproof watches, CDs, dentures, rings, bracelets, and necklaces. Includes a basket, watch stand, and CD rack.”
