I think that on the gadget market today there are actually two markets, or two categories of markets within that main one. There are people and entire companies devoted to designing gadgets that will represent a solution to a problem or at least make every day life easier. On the other hand there are people and developing teams ( i wouldn’t realy say companies) that devote their time to making gadgets that do not realy have to have any kind of productive purpouse. People like that gave us gadgets such as USB Rocket Launcher and many other entertainment focused products. Making paper planes never got out of fashion. From earliest days untill today people still make them, old fashion way or a bit more modern. Good people from Middlesex University came to an idea to make an Electric Paper Plane Launcher. This very modest gadget has a very simple mechanism that shoots paper planes. It is consisted from two spinning motors and plastic discs. Though there is nothing new to this design since something similar was invented to shoot those little cars down the track. To get this thing working, all you got to do is to put a paper plane in between those rotating discs. I don’t really know how suitable this is for kids since it can shoot that paper plane 30 MpH. This can be an awesome Christmass gift but think twice before you give it to kids. The Electric Paper Plane Launcher requires a AA battery for power, and costs only $18.00 and you can order it online.

We’ve all seen holographs in movies and on TV. Commonly they are regarded as a thing of future, technology that we can only see in SciFi movies and read about in fictional books. The title of holograph was, until recently, kept by those little things on credit cards that truly don’t even resemble what we would call a real holograph, or at least what we’ve seen on TV. Well things changed. The Holocube 3D is a box that contains a real holograph inside of it. It comes in three sizes of 10, 15, and 17 inches, and has a 40GB worth of hard drive for holographic video footage. It is yet unknown if the holograph is sold separatly from the Holocube 3D or not. If it is the price tag on this baby can be a lot more than $9,000 that is it’s current price.

Stick figure and yellow board is the “meat and potatoes” of this product. The stick figure can be altered in many ways so you can make your own sign. Ever had those wet floors that you needed to alert people about but never could? Or you just had those boring “Wet Floor” signs? Well now you can make your own danger sign and have fun doing it. Honestly i’d never use this for purpouses like that, i’d rather make some cool weird signs that would say “Breakdance Ahead” or something along that line. Even though it doesn’t have a special purpouse or use i still like this little gadget and find it amusing. You’ll need to shell out $11.99 for the little stick dude.

Some time ago in not so distant past kids loved to stare down this little tube that had some mirrorised pictures of different shapes and forms in it. The first kaleidoscopes caused great admiration in their users since they produced a fun illusion that was more than amusing. Needles to say, kaleidoscopes changed from the first models. Today we have a endless amount of different kinds that create different shapes but one stands out. What we have here is the Laser Kaleidoscope . The Laser Kaleidoscope is the size of a small torch and shoots out its laser beams onto the nearest surface for all to share. You can change the pattern by turning the dial on the front, moving the prism and creating a laser show that will match any nowadays rave party effects. Moving it around can create some really funky effects. You can buy this gadget for 74.99 British Pounds But for God’s sake, whatever you do don’t look directly into the beam!
Features:
- A handheld kaleidoscope that shoots out laser beams.
- The beams shoot out and display patterns on the nearest surface.
- Adjust the beams’ patterns by turning the kaleidoscope’s dial to move the prism.
- Requires 2 x AAA Batteries (not included).
- Suitable for ages 8 years+.
- Size: 16.5 x 1.3cm.
